BRAND NEW NAME. SAME GREAT TEAM.
After more than a decade of working together as one great team, Whayne and Walker now move forward under one name: Boyd. This exciting transition will help us better serve customers and position our company for continued growth – all while recognizing the power of our shared legacy and realizing the potential of a bright future.
TOGETHER WE ARE BUILDING ONE GREAT TEAM TO SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS BEST.
We will always strive to be the customer-preferred provider of quality products, superior value-added support services, and innovative solutions in all markets we serve. Our business conduct will uphold our values while enhancing the success of our customers, employees, suppliers, and communities.
Whayne Supply and Walker Machinery are two of the oldest Caterpillar dealerships—founded in 1913 and 1950, respectively. With 175 years of combined history, Whayne Supply and Walker Machinery have provided best-in-class service, equipment, and parts as the authorized Caterpillar dealers throughout Kentucky, Southern Indiana, West Virginia, and Southeastern Ohio.
In 2008, the Boyd family purchased Whayne Supply and then purchased Walker Machinery in 2010. In February 2020, it was announced that we were merging the branding of Whayne Supply and Walker Machinery and going to market as one name: Boyd CAT.
Under the leadership of Monty Boyd, Boyd CAT has been enabling its customers to build a better world for more than a decade as one of the nation’s premier, independently owned and operated CAT dealerships.
With our support center based in Louisville, Kentucky, Boyd CAT is your dealer for all Caterpillar equipment, parts, and services; Thomas Built Busses; Western Star Trucks; CLAAS Combines; Massey Ferguson; Fendt Tractors; Genie; Sullair; Allmand; and other lines of construction, industrial, mining, paving, agricultural, and transportation equipment, as well as access to one of largest construction and power equipment rental fleets through The Boyd CAT Rental Store.
While Whayne Supply and Walker Machinery have changed through the decades, one thing remains the same: they are a family-owned business. From the Whayne and Walker families to the Boyd family, the company has maintained its strong core values that keep it so successful.
